Akbar is a fresh graduate of Marine Science from Brawijaya University who is interested in marine conservation issues. He began to expand his realm of interest through the School of Coastal Environment (Schoove) to preserve the coastal area and empower the local community. He also accepted to join Our Ocean Youth Leadership Summit 2018 by Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
In the past, he was an intern student at National Taiwan Ocean University, Chairman person in the Student Council of Marine Science, Head of the Study & Field division in the Coastal Protection and Restoration Brawijaya Study Club, and Environmental Impact Assessment Assistant Course. From those experiences, he committed to reaching out to his dream to be a marine conservationist through his contribution to volunteering at Thresher Shark Indonesia.
