Geanisa Vianda Putri

Gea earned her bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). She is currently working as an Associate: Forest Governance and Policy at the UK FCDO’s Multistakeholder Forestry Programme Phase 4 (MFP4). Her work is to support the Government of Indonesia to consolidate the nationwide system of Sustainable Forest Management standard on its implementation and evaluation, fostering Indonesia’s tropical forest protection throughout the country. Previously, Gea worked for BirdLife Indonesia for years, conserving landscape and endemic birds in the West Manggrarai, Flores. At heart, she knows that she is a conservationist. She is happiest when she is in the forest and the sea.

Gea believes that young people are key to protecting our environment. She hopes to empower youths in Alor to build meaningful conservation efforts.
